Overview
Schindler 3000 is the current traction elevator model of Schindler. Launched in 2020[1], it is a modular traction elevator model designed for low to mid rise residential and commercial buildings, and can be installed with or without a machine room. It is a direct successor of Schindler 3300, which had been on sale in Indonesia since 2007.
It is almost similar to its predecessor Schindler 3300, featuring the same coated steel belts, gearless machine and interior designs. However, it uses a new and different control system known as Schindler Scalable (SC). There is also a variant of this model for replacing old elevators called Schindler 3000 Plus[2].
In Indonesia, it is mainly seen in small to medium sized commercial buildings. Some parking buildings in privately owned buildings also use this model.
Characteristics
The Schindler 3000 is very similar to its predecessor 3300, but it has some notable differences.
- The arrow on the car floor indicator is always on when the elevator is traveling, similar to Schindler 5500. In addition, floor button light will goes off once the elevator reaches a floor.
- It starts and levels quicker than the Schindler 3300.
- Depending on the features included in the elevator, the size of the control cabinet can be slimmer (integrated with the door frame) or bigger (similar to Schindler 5500). Elevators with standard specifications typically have slimmer cabinet, but if certain features like an emergency earthquake evacuation device are included the cabinet is bigger.
- Smoother door movement as it uses a different door operator, in this case, Wittur Augusta Evo.
- When the elevator is on energy saving mode, the landing indicator will only show a flashing dot.
- Icons for certain modes shown on the landing floor indicators are now bigger. For example, if the elevator is set to out of service, a large "No entry" icon is shown[3].
- Electric fan is notoriously loud in most early installations.

Fixtures
Linea 100
Linea 100 is basically the same as FI GS used in the Schindler 3300. The panels are stainless steel, with a light blue colored display where the floor indicator is located. The buttons are square with a tactile and red illuminating edges. The floor indicators use red LED dot matrix display. Car station can be partial or full height.
Linea 120 Touch
Linea 120 Touch was initially launched in 2014 for the Schindler 3300 as a replacement of FI GL. It is very similar to FI GL, with a surface mounted tinted light blue glass panel and touch sensitive buttons, but the floor indicators use the same red LED dot matrix display as Linea 100/FI GS and features a different button typeface.
From 2020, a touchless version of these fixtures (which is part of the Schindler CleanMobility solution) become available as an option. The only visible difference with the regular version is that the buttons illuminate white when not touched.
Linea 300
Linea 300 is the same fixtures lineup used in the Schindler 5500 elevators. The panels can be a regular stainless steel with a light blue glass display, or a black stainless steel with a black display. The buttons are almost the same as Linea 100, with a tactile and illuminating edges but the buttons light up white or light blue when not pressed. Optionally, Schindler CleanCall touchless buttons can also be used on these fixtures. The floor indicators use either red LED dot matrix (with thicker letters) or a color TFT-LCD display (similar to the displays used in the Linea Vetro fixtures).
