Overview

HOPE-II is a model of passenger elevator produced by Shanghai Mitsubishi since the 2000s. A successor of the GPS-III model, it is one of the models that was developed by Shanghai Mitsubishi themselves. It is primarily designed for low to high rise residential buildings.

In Indonesia, it is mainly seen in apartment buildings, shopping centers, hotels and often smaller commercial buildings built in the 2000s.

Characteristics

  • Most HOPE-II elevators have partial height car operating panels.
  • Arrival chime is usually a bell sound, but some installations use the standard Shanghai Mitsubishi electronic sound.
  • Ride quality is generally smooth.

Buttons

Dark grey rectangle plastic buttons with an orange light. They look a bit similar to the buttons used in the Mitsubishi GPS elevators, but they press very different.

Floor indicators

Standard Mitsubishi orange LED dot matrix display. Some hall stations with floor indicator have scrolling arrow.
