Overview
Iris NV is a traction elevator model of South Korean elevator manufacturer Sigma. Launched in 2011, is a successor of the Sigma Distributed Inverter "Di1" and "Di2" models and was produced in Dalian, China. It is a gearless model designed for low to mid rise buildings. In 2019, it was discontinued and succeeded by the ACRA model.
In Indonesia, this model is mainly seen various low to high rise buildings, such as shopping centers, hotels, hospitals, apartments and occasionally universities.
Characteristics
- Compared to the previous models like Di1 and Di2, Iris NV uses third party controllers made by Shanghai STEP from China. It is distinguished by the fact that the dot matrix arrow on the floor indicators will stop scrolling once the elevator stops and the brake is applied.
- Also compared to Sigma's previous models, the Iris NV uses a completely different arrival chime which sounds very similar to older SJEC elevators from China.
- Ride quality and durability is notoriously poor compared to the Di1 and Di2 models, with vibrations can often be felt and heard when the elevator starts up. In addition, the motor brake sound is notoriously loud upon stopping.
- Car call cancel requires two times press due to the use of Shanghai STEP controllers.
- Until the mid 2010s, floor button beep was available as an option.
- Landing door keyhole is a triangle shaped, unlike the Di1 and Di2 models which use an L-shaped keyhole.

Fixtures
Standard fixtures
The fixtures used in Sigma Iris NV elevators are the same as the ones used in the second generation elevators (Mid 2000s-early 2010s) apart from minor changes. Floor indicators use red LED dot matrix display. Until 2015, it was possible to use segmented displays as an option before it was discontinued.
Apart from the round and rectangle stainless steel buttons, there is also a white rectangular button which light up entirely when pressed.
Different fixtures (1)
These fixtures consist of silver concave buttons (similar to Otis) with blue illumination and LCD floor indicators with blue segmented characters. There is also a slightly different variation, with the standard round stainless steel buttons and a floor indicator with a red segmented display and a "speedometer".
Different fixtures (2)
Available since 2018, these fixtures consist of round stainless steel buttons with white or blue light and LCD floor indicators with white segmented characters.
Touch fixtures
These fixtures were released in 2018 as a replacement of MiniTouch. The buttons are touch sensitive on a glass panel and light up white, while the floor indicators are LCD with white segments over a black background.
