Kone Destination (formerly Kone Polaris) is an elevator destination dispatch system of Finnish elevator manufacturer Kone. It was released in 2005.

Overview

It can be installed as Full Configuration with no floor buttons inside the car, or a Hybrid Configuration with only destination keypads or touch screens in the lobby, conventional call buttons on other floors and floor buttons inside the car. At present, it can be used in the Kone MonoSpace and MiniSpace elevators as an option. It can also be used for modernizations of older elevators, regardless of brand.

Some elevators require an access card to be scanned in the keypad or touch screen first before selecting a floor, similar to SchindlerID and Schindler PORT. It is also possible to be integrated with turnstiles, like in the District 8 in Jakarta.

In Indonesia, it is mainly seen in high rise office buildings.

Fixtures

KSS 800

These fixtures consist of either a wall mounted numerical keypad (KSP 833, silver; or KSP 853, black) with white LED display or a large black LCD touch screen (KSP 858). The car station can either be KDS 330 or KDS Design. The same thing goes for the hall station if Hybrid Configuration is applied. Before 2021, KDS 300 was the standard fixture before it was discontinued and replaced by the KDS 330. Destination indicator, if any, are installed on the sides of the car door jamb.

KSS 900

These fixtures consist of either a flush mounted numerical keypad with LCD display or a wall mounted LCD toucb screen. The car station consists of round or square buttons and two LCD floor indicators; one for showing the actual car position and the other for showing the registered destination floors. If Hybrid Configuration is applied, flush mounted landing call buttons, lanterns and indicators are used. Elevators installed in the late 2010s have the KONE Information typeface applied to the LCD indicators. Discontinued in 2020 or 2021.

To date, District 8 in Jakarta is currently the only place in Indonesia having these fixtures.
