Overview

The MonoSpace 3000/3000S was one of the earliest variants of Kone MonoSpace sold in Indonesia. It was sold from the early 2000s until around the early 2010s when it was succeeded by the Kone E/N/S MonoSpace variants. This variant was produced in Kone's factory in Kunshan, China.

There are two variants; the first one is the regular MonoSpace 3000 and the second one is the MonoSpace 3000S (extended range). The difference between the two variants is that the latter one has higher speeds, larger capacity, could be a set of up to 4 cars and could serve up to 24 floors.

Depending on the installation year, the variant is divided into two generations based on the interior design, features and cosmetic differences.

First generation

  • Produced from the early 2000s until the early 2010s.
  • These elevators typically have faster doors and loud EcoDisc brake sounds.
  • Until the mid 2000s, almost all installations have K-Delta fixtures while those that were installed after the mid 2000s began to use KDS 300 or 50 fixtures.
  • Almost all installations of this generation have relatively quick startup.
  • Installations with K-Delta fixtures have wide door frame on the top floor, with an integrated control cabinet.

Second generation

  • Produced from the early 2010s until possibly 2013.
  • These installations typically use KDS 300, KDS 50 or KDS Design fixtures.
  • Smoother and slower door movement.
  • The EcoDisc motor brake sound is no longer audible.
  • The control cabinet on the top floor is now completely separated from the landing entrance. In addition, the door frame on the top floor is no longer wide.

Fixtures

K-Delta

K-Delta is similar to the European Delta fixtures used on the European Kone MonoSpace elevators, except that the buttons are black with a different typeface and the interior floor indicator is bordered by a dark grey plastic. Hall lanterns and floor indicators are the same as Delta[1].

Until the mid 2000s, most of the Kone MonoSpace elevators installed in Indonesia use these fixtures. K-Delta was discontinued in the mid 2000s and was replaced by the KDS series (see below).

KDS 300

KDS 300 was launched in the mid 2000s and was the successor of K-Delta. The buttons are round or square, and could be flushed or surface mounted. They usually light up red when pressed. The floor indicators use red LED dot matrix display with scrolling direction arrows[1]. Panels could be surface or flush mounted.

KDS 50

KDS 50 fixtures have black round buttons with red lights and floor indicators with LED dot matrix display. The car floor indicator is separated from the button panel, and the panel could be round or square[1]. Older Kone installations from the 2000s with KDS 50 fixtures are extremely rare in Indonesia.
