General information
|
Marohn TKE (Chinese: 曼隆蒂森克虏伯电梯有限公司, formerly Marohn ThyssenKrupp) is an elevator company formed in 2009 under a joint venture between Marohn Elevator and TK Elevator in Shanghai, China[1]. It is a wholly owned company of TK Elevator (TKE).
As of 2020, Marohn TKE elevators have been exported to more than 15 countries in Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Marohn TKE in Indonesia
In Indonesia, it entered the market in the late 2010s, and is currently distributed by TKE Elevator Indonesia. A number of Marohn ThyssenKrupp elevators have been installed in the country, mostly in East Java. It is usually seen in low to mid rise hotels and apartment buildings, as well as a few universities. They are often preferred as a more affordable option to the regular TKE elevators made in the Zhongshan factory (similar to how Schindler offers their XJ Schindler branded elevators).
Characteristics
Marohn TKE elevators are different compared to the regular TKE elevators. Their elevators typically use Shanghai STEP buttons, LCD floor indicators with black background and white characters, and Suzhou Monarch NICE series controls instead of TKE's Thyssocontrol Multican (MC1/2). Some installations use multimedia type LCD displays and touch buttons. They look more like a typical modern Chinese elevator.
Most Marohn TKE elevators play music, a feature included on Suzhou Monarch controllers.
