Gen2 Comfort is an Otis machine room less elevator model that was produced by Otis China from the 2000s (possibly launched in 2005) until at least the early 2010s. It is a variant of Otis Gen2 machine room less elevator model, and was designed for the Asian markets.

It is considered as an entry level, low cost Gen2 model designed for residential and basic commercial buildings in Asian countries. It is quite similar to Gen2 Premier (mid range variant for commercial buildings) from the same era except that the Gen2 Comfort had limited design options and used square buttons instead of round concave. The maximum capacity is 1000 kilograms.

In Indonesia, this model was sold by Citas Otis Elevator during the 2000s. Only a handful of installations exist so this is considered as a rare model.

Characteristics

  • Unlike Gen2 Premier (2000s model), the door sills are slimmer and the doors are more lightweight.
  • Arrival chime sound is the same as Gen2 Premier, which sounds similar to Mitsubishi elevators.
  • Most installations have only one alarm button with both an alarm and phone icon.
