Otis FOVF

Overview

FOVF is the current freight elevator model of Otis. Released sometime in the 2000s, it was originally a product of Xizi Otis and since 2016 it is produced by Otis Electric in Hangzhou, China. It is also occasionally sold under the Sigma name[1].

In Indonesia, it is mainly seen in shopping centers where it is used as service elevators.

Characteristics

  • FOVF elevators usually level quick.
  • Car interiors are very basic with ventilation holes, painted walls and a blade fan on the ceiling.
  • The doors are often slightly abrupt when they open and close.

Fixtures

FOVF elevators use the same set of fixtures as the Otis OH 5000 and GeN2-Regen elevators, depending on the installation year.

Older installations could use either white square plastic buttons with orange illuminating edges, or black round buttons with orange illuminating letter. The floor indicators have red segmented numbers and orange triangle arrows.

Newer installations usually have round concave buttons with blue lights and LCD floor indicators with white segmented numbers over a light blue background.
