Overview
NEXIEZ-MRL Version2 is one of the current passenger machine room less elevator models of Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation, and is part of the Mitsubishi NEXIEZ lineup. Announced on 25 October 2021 and released four days later[1]., it is an improvement of the original NEXIEZ-MRL model (produced since 2010) with more advanced features and specifications, such as the ability to call the elevators remotely using a smartphone's application and allowing use by mobile robots.
It is based on the Mitsubishi AXIEZ-LINKs model that is exclusively sold in Japan since October 2020. The elevator design incorporated in this model was also adopted from AXIEZ-LINKs, with four themes based on the results of global market research; "LUXURY", "NATURAL", "COMFORT", and "MODERN".
The model is currently produced by Mitsubishi Elevator Asia Co. Ltd. (AMEC) in Thailand. As of August 2024, it has a capacity range between 450 and 1800 kilograms (or 6 to 24 persons), speed range between 1 and 2.5 meters per second, and a maximum number of stops of 30 floors. Prior to that, the maximum capacity and speed was only 1000 kilograms and 1.75 meters per second respectively[2].
Characteristics
- So far the model has been known to behave almost the same as NEXIEZ-MRL.
- The model is installed with partial height car operating panel as standard, which is not available for NEXIEZ-MRL. Such panel is also used in NEXIEZ-S but it uses only segmented numbers for the floor indicator. In addition, the capacity is now stated with a different typeface.
- The "MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC" logo on the car operating panel is now located above the floor indicator.
- Overhead landing floor indicators no longer have rounded corners.

Hall lanterns
All hall lanterns now use LED lights. Different lantern styles are available, and the "classic" square lanterns which have been used since the 1990s remain available. Some elevators may have an overhead landing floor indicator combined with hall lanterns.
This model also introduces new arrow shaped lanterns on stainless steel or black plastic-like plate. These lanterns light up orange or white.
